Dude. Make them at home. Get a Lavatools PT12 Javelin Digital Instant Read Meat Thermometer for $26, heat oil to 375. Get frozen fries, cook them in the oven for like 20 min, and then fry them for 2 min. Salt them immediately. Frozen fries have already been cooked and deep fried, so this method is very similar to many of the newer home methods (sous vide, Heston Blumenthal triple fry method, etc.)
I don’t know what Rally’s is, but I greatly appreciate that you put Mcdonald’s above Wendy’s and Burger King. Every time I see a fast food fry ranking (and somehow, I feel like I see a lot), I’m _appalled_.
Also, I agree with Jon: Fries at home can be _amazing_ if you actually fry them in oil.
