Want two electrical switches to control the same light or outlet? Check out a diagram before you do anything. This would have saved my Dad and I a couple of hours on Saturday.

Wiring a three way switch is easy when you know how. I almost burned down my house when I did it wrong the first time. Well, at least there were sparks. The key to it is to remember that the power source goes to the black screw on the first switch, and the power supply to the light comes from the black screw on the other switch. Bend the white wires together and just put the red and the extra black wires to the other two screws on each of the lights.
