Michigan winters are hard on a grill cover. When I removed the old cover I found a gross mess that needed to be cleaned. I don’t think I used it at all last summer, which probably made it much worse.
Unpopular opinion: Grilling is overrated and a pain in the ass.
I tried to hit up the Austin’s Brown’s Bar-B-que food truck last night, but it was already closed. Turned out ok since I went to a BBQ restaurant and ended up getting a beef rib, which was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten.
I made it to the food truck in time tonight and got this tasty sandwich with close to a pound of meat. I got a side of cabbage as well, but was disappointed the peach cobbler had already sold out.
At Terry Black’s Barbecue in Austin, TX.
At Oscar’s Restaurant in Midland, MI.
The Texas melt is sliced brisket topped with grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, and provolone cheese on a bun. Campfire taters are smoked and grilled red potatoes, tossed with bacon, peppers, and cheese. At Haywood Smokehouse in Waynesville, NC, which is “The place to meat.”
All day in the crock pot.
From the Q Up Barbecue food truck, at lunch during WordCamp Phoenix. Yummy!!
Met up with Ryan Markel for lunch in St. Louis, MO. I had turkey breast, beef brisket, green beans, and sweet potato fries. Smoked turkey and BBQ sauce is amazing!
