I’m the new owner of an amazing piece of fitness equipment. If this commercial from the 80s doesn’t get you fired up to exercise, I don’t know what will.
I’ll post more once it’s set in place and I make some modifications.

I just broke my pulley cable that attaches hand and leg apperatures to the weight stack lifting wheel.. at a loss of what length this pulley cable needs to be? I hate missing my workout owned this unit since 88.

Oh no! That sucks. I don’t have the leg attachments, so not sure what length that cable would need to be.

Hi, iI hope you can help, I’ve just bought a dp gympac not sure which model but it’s just the upright with weight stack and high and low cable attachments with no bench etc however only the top cable attachment works, and the pulley assembly is only on the top right as a single cable. The bottom pulleys cable is not attached to the weight stack as it looks to have been pulled to hard and disconnected and come off track. I’m trying to re connect this for low rows but not sure what the cables path is meant to be as attaching it by carabiner to the top cable doesn’t seen to be correct as although it moves the weight stack it crosses the top cable. Do you have an image that could help me clarify this 🤞 many thanks

In order to use the bottom pulley you need to disconnect anything hanging from the top pulley, so all that’s sticking out is a very short piece of cable. Then you should have a longer cable (or make one) that goes through the lower pulley (by going through under the front bottom so it goes up the back of the pulley). This connects to the piece sticking out from your top pulley.

can you send me a diagram of how to hook all the cables up to the different operations? I sure would appreciate it. I do not have the manual that goes with this unit.

I don’t have the manual either.

do you have a copy of the exercises you can do with the gym pac? I don’t have a Manuel. Could you take a pic and post it?

This is a great page! I also have this DP GymPac, which I purchased in 1998 for $60 and installed in my garage. Still use it twice a week. Very minimal maintenance. Mine came with all the parts and I’ve simply greased the wheels and pulleys. Manual is impossible to find. I’ve found that if the stack is too light, even with the pin near the bottom of the stack, adding some bands to the system can add resistance. I do dead-lifts with pretty much the full stack and some added bands for increasing resistance throughout the lift. Works great!
