  1. Hmm…didn’t even know Ctrl+L did anything. Learn something new everyday I guess. Ealier when I posted I was thinking, “Do people really use a search engine for all of their browsing?”

    I suppose I’m thinking from a support point of view and for the average user. In Internet Explorer it’s way too easy to accidentally turn off the address bar. It’s also too easy to shrink the address bar to a point where it’s not even usable, but that’s another story. At least in Firefox you have to jump into the customize toolbar screen and then drag the location bar off.

  2. My uncle only uses a search engine. I told him he could type in the address bar, but he didn’t want to because if other people used the computer, the addresses they typed would show up there and it would confuse him.

  3. My address bar disappeared. How do I get it back? Nothing I have tried has worked. I checked the address bar in task bars and that didn’t work, which it was already checked.

    Please help,

    Mike

  4. You probably have it so small that you don’t notice where it is. Just look around your toolbars and you should be able to see a vertical bar that looks out of place.

  5. Hello!

    Thanks! At least I’m not the only soul who has had trouble getting an

    address bar. I’ve tried checking & unchecking address bar in VIEW option,

    but no luck. Thanks for your info; I will now try control+L.

    By the way, how in the blue-blazes does a body READ yahoo mail? I’ve

    moved everything to folders;

    I just hope that our computer is virus free!
