Now here’s a way to make some easy money from a few suckers. Threaten to kill a cute little bunny named Toby. The guy running this site is going to kill Toby on June 30th, 2005 if he doesn’t get $50,000 in donations and merchandise purchases. Amazingly, he’s already took in over $14,000! After all, he’s only asking for $1 from each person. Why can’t I think of something like this? Check out the Save Toby site for all of the details. I will hunt and eat a rabbit for every grammatical error I see on this page. Speeling errors will count towards this. (Hey look I already get to eat a rabbit because of an ‘accidental misspelling of spelling in my own post!)

ummm…yeah…It’s definitly just a rabbit. Ever heard of factory farming? What is wrong with eating one rabbit? Humans evolved as omnivores, we are designed to eat meat. I’m not really sure what the issue is with eating one stupid little rabbit.

I must say that whoever created savetoby.com is a true genius. For those of you who cannot see the hiliarity in this, i pity you. Why you may ask? Because this is clearly just a scam to make money, and anyone who actually believes that this person will kill toby/gives money to “save” toby’s life is an idiot. Come on people, use some common sense. One more thing, anyone who wastes their time trying to “prevent” toby’s death has WAY too much free time on their hands. (And yes, I realize that I am wasting time making this posting, but I DO have too much free time on my hands) Just think the amount of time that you could be spending trying to raise money for a starving child in Africa. Think about it.

Yeah, I agree Liz – he’s a genius, though I don’t see why he wouldn’t eat him. Lots of people eat rabbits.
And another thing – this whole discussion has, rightfully so, brought up the issue of saving starving HUMANS versus one rabbit. So again, I raise the qeustion: who are the “idiots” here – the creator of Savetoby, or the people who send him money??? Clearly, it is my opinion that the people who send him money are the reprehensible ones. THEY are the ones with the misguided sense of morality, and THEY are the ones who are NOT sending money to save humans, effectively choosing a rabbit’s life over a human’s . . . talk about immoral!!!
This is an animal-eating culture, and thousand of animals die at the hand of humans daily. Anyone who doesn’t understand this, and is offended by the killing of a single rabbit (in a humane manner, for the purpose of food), simply put, has wildly misdirected morals. I urge such people to stop the emotional ranting, and try to step back, and evaluate this matter objectively and thoroughly.
Like I said before, I like savetoby.com simply because it brings such topics to light – it forces people to think and evaluate their own moral ground, on a topic that no one likes to talk about. I like the site, but I am NOT sending him money – that would simply send the wrong message that I care if the rabbit dies. I personally would rather send my money to save humans. So if all of this discussion generates higher donations to human funds, then couldn’t one argue that it was a success???

all of you need to get a life. So what if its a hoax? so what if the rabbit dies? does it affect any of you in any way? And if it does, im sorry to tell you that hundreds of cute furry little animals die EVERYDAY! (ill wait now because once you realize one rabbit dosen’t really matter all you animal rights activist will probally have a heartattack)……ready? ok.
And if all of you are so upset about this one rabbit who may or may not be in trouble just think of this. There are REAL prolbems in this world (crime, homelessness, poverity, ect.) and the fact that you people are spending so much time and enegry on a RABBIT, well, i think it’s time to re-evaluiate your priorities and use all that enegry toward doing something constructive instead. You know, like dealing with REAL issues. But if not just continue to make mountains out of anthills with Toby. And im sure if all your whining and b*tching save the little fella world peace and world prosperity will not be too far behind!!!

First, he has not killed anything yet
Second, he is not threatening to damage or kill someone else’s animal – he’s threatening to do it to HIS OWN animal – again, not illegal.
Third, he has stated explicitly that he would have Toby killed in a humane manner, at the hands of a butcher . . . not illegal (it is only illegal to kill an animal in an INHUMANE manner)
Fourth, you spell like a second-grader
If you don’t like the killing of animals, why don’t you visit your local meat-packing plant – in fact, why not call the police on them – after all, they’re killing poor, innocent animals – those vicous murderers!!! how dare they!!!

Why do so many people think it’s real? It’s a joke.You can tell from the pictures that he loves his bunny…the knife tucked under the cutting board so that the bunny can’t step on the sharp edge,the bunny in the park-if the bunny didn’t like him he’d run away,the way the site is worded…the fact that the persons who built the site are college students…JOKE…
There are thousands of abondoned bunnies in rabbit shelters across America, and people get mad over this bunny, who has so far never been mistreated.
