The Game I Love?

Golf.

One minute you love it and the next you wish you’d never played.

One minute you hit a shot like Tiger Woods and the next you feel like you’ve never swung a club.

For the past 3-4 summers I’ve been golfing 2, 3, sometimes even 4 times a week and I’ve loved every minute of it. This year is different for some reason. I’m in two golf leagues, but somehow I’ve played half as many rounds as last year (to this point). I’m golfing at a level I played 3 years ago. Most rounds I can’t wait to get off the course because I’m so frustrated with myself. Where did the love go?

  1. Did you all of a sudden started trying to play to get better… I mean we all do in one way or another, but at the moment you stop having fun I say it is time to take a break.

Did you maybe pick up a bad habit when you started playing this year? are you overthinking the shots, not relaxing?

  2. I think it has something to do with the fact that I haven’t been to the driving range at all yet this year and haven’t been playing as much, so therefore my game is suffering.

  3. I think it might have something to do with your new hobby of bike riding. You go do that instead of going to play. Everyone goes through this. I have only played twice this year, and last summer I was playing twice during week and then would play at least once every weekend.
