My Week…

I haven’t been updating regularly lately so I thought I’d do a little catching up…

On Wednesday I signed a lease for a 2 bedroom duplex so I no longer have to worry about finding a place to live. It’s a nice relief.

Most of the rest of the week was spent researching TVs, looking at them in stores, and eventually purchasing one, which I think I’ve posted about quite a bit already, so I don’t add more about it here. On Wednesday I picked up my copy of Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow for the XBOX and it’s a great game. It’s hard to believe the improvements they’ve made from the original which set the bar for graphics and lighting on the console.

I’ve been watching all of the games for the NCAA Tournament since Thursday and there are two left today before the Final Four teams are all set. St. Joseph’s lost to Oklahoma State last night. After only losing one game (their final game) during the season, I had said they were overrated. If it wouldn’t have been for catching all of the breaks in their last few games they would have been home much earlier. UConn is still smoking teams and looking good.

I hope Georgia Tech can get past Kansas today, but the Jayhawks have been killing their opponents during the tournament so far and are really a surprise team. Duke has looked the best out of any team I’ve seen play and I see that continuing today where they’ll end Xavier’s streak. It should be a couple of good games.

I need to start studying and find some good practice test material because my Microsoft Certification test is in 3 weeks. I’ve just been so busy lately that I haven’t had the time, but now I need to make the time.

Last night I purchased a microwave from ABC Warehouse. They had a customer appreciation sale after their normal business hours so I stopped in to see what kind of deal I could get. I bought a nice mid-level microwave and got 12% off with my appreciation coupon thingy. I also used the $50 gift card I had been given when I bought the TV, so I ended up paying $12.52…can’t beat a deal like that. Now I just need to buy a futon and I’ll be all set for the move.

  1. Over the past few weeks yes, but in the tournament the games I had seen Duke was playing the best. Today’s game is a different story though, they aren’t shooting with a shit and have a lot of people in foul trouble. When filling out my brackets I had a hard time picking the Duke-UConn possible match-up, but had to go with Duke because they are my favorite team.

  2. I like how Duke has been playing….but I disagree with you on one thing. The team that looks the best the last couple of weeks has to be UCONN. They have been playing really well for the past month and they did most of it without their big man. If they play at there best nobody in the nation will beat them. I remember telling you earlier in the year that the only team that can beat them when they are playing that well is UCONN themselves. If UCONN can show up and play next weekend and Duke wins today, I have to say Duke will be packing to go home before the Championship game.
