I made a quick trip to Meijer last night and due to the cold weather the store was mostly empty. As I was walking past all of the registers, the lack of people made me realize how much reading material there is on every checkout lane.
Then I started thinking about how much of this stuff must be selling because it’s the most profitable area in the store! People are buying A LOT of these fad diets, bogus weight loss tips, and celebrity gossip or else it wouldn’t be taking up this prime real estate.

Figured since I was only 20 minutes away I’d visit my first (maybe last?) IKEA.

The image you see posted on the left is currently at Apple’s homepage and it’s the first time I’ve ever seen the phrase “24/365” used. Thank you Apple! Maybe the whole world will finally realize that 24/7/365 doesn’t make sense. If you want to say 24/7/52 that’s fine, but 24/7/365 just doesn’t fly. There are 24 hours in a day, 7 days in a week, and 52 weeks in a year. There are not 365 weeks in a year or 365 weeks in anything for that matter. Just use 24/365 and the world will be a happier place. Pass the word.
