I asked my family to give me old electronics instead of throwing things out. My sister gave me this phone alarm clock, so I tore it apart. I was able to salvage some cool parts from it. For me, it’s not about trying to save money, because I could order brand new modern parts for very little. Learning how things work and figuring out how to repurpose old components has been a lot of fun. The challenge in rewarding.
During this teardown I learned a key lesson (twice)… if it seems extremely hard to open something you’ve probably overlooked some well hidden screws.
