If you can’t bother to send the wedding invitation to my own house I’m not coming. I haven’t lived with my parents in 10 years.

Getting married is a pretty frantic process, and invitations might be delegated to someone else. So unless there is another reason, go to the wedding!

I think that’s a poor excuse. I see it as lazy and disrespectful, especially for family (first cousin). My Aunt couldn’t take 2 minutes to call her brother and ask for my address?

It’s family? Ouch… though no need to air the laundry publicly.

I don’t know you and stumbled across this looking for something else, but yes, I had the same fight with my mom about a family wedding. If you’re asking me to travel across the country and take off time from work, spending thousands of dollars, then yes, I require my own invitation sent to my own address. Fanatical or not of a process.
