  1. I agree with all. I have lost alot of money in the last 2 years playing online to the point where I realized I probably have a gambling issue.

    So I banned myself from sites. That being said I win in vegas. Its the online beats that get your emotions going, that don’t make sense statistically and keeps you thinking you will eventually win.

    I recently had a person call me preflop on a hard raise ($1/2$) big blind (Had AK hearts) raised to 30 as there were a number of people in the hand. One guy calls me..

    FLOP
    K(diamonds)2 (Hearts) 4 (hearts).

    He bets 12 – I raise to 30 he calls

    TURN
    A(spades)- he bets 12. I raise to pot in as I have top pair and a nut flush draw. He calls

    RIVER
    5 Hearts. I am all in, nut flush.

    He shows – straight flush for 400 bucks. So tell me, how does he call preflop? How does he call on the turn with a less than 20% chance of hitting.

    Just one of the many ridiculous hands I’ve seen.

    These companies make money off rake. They want people to keep betting and create action. BC the more money put into a pot in a NL game means more money to the .com company.

    Further I do believe programmers have access in a backdoor, there is no regulation of these companies. It is a scam.

    Just read how SO many people have experienced the SAME things…the odds are not true. When you’re worried about playing pocket Jacks because every time you have them someone has over pockets it says something.

  2. Much like the dude above i’ve played on alot of sites too…just closed my accounts as well..after the following in the last 2 days of playing online (and given the bad beats i was taken figured ok start playing very tight)..here’s some samples

    AA rivered all in VS KJ for a straight
    AK rivered vs 66 for a set
    KK Hit set of flop, rivered by nut flush
    Nut flush on river beaten by Full house 3x

    the odds of even all of those happening says enough. I also noticed a few players go come into the rooms (pstars 1/2 nl) with 30-40 bucks, only play they have is all in, and the frequency in which they hit their cards is unreal (even against aa/kk/qq) often weak pockets against those and yet consistently hit sets..

    Its funny bc these sites don’t get it..once people stop playing they will no longer make money…I guess they’ve made their millions but I for one am tired of losing and like the gentleman above started getting timid, not knowing when i could bet, not knowing when i was being bluffed, laying down strong hands when I probably shouldnt have..but all as a result of taking the kind of beats I mentioned…

    suggestion to anyone thinking of playing online…forget it, save your money and go to vegas…

  3. Action hands and ties. How many ties do you see in a night in a poker room. Keep to the free rolls for fun and the money in the casinos where u know the game has partners and all pro’s but u have a chance if ur good enough otherwise play blackjack if u are a good counter.

  4. It seems strange to me that after all of these theories, nobody has seemed to notice the obvious answer. A common thing people are saying is “I understand this kind of stuff happens in real life, but not with this great of frequency…” No kidding! In real life, you can’t multi-table or get dealt 160 hands in an hour! In real life, it just takes longer so it seems like you are seeing the “crazy” suck outs a lot less often. It seems to me they happen the same percentage of the time, just that online you are seeing at least 3 or 4 times as many hands as you do in real life.

  6. Lost 2000 on mansion and have a laundry list of bad beats, probably about 30 ridiculous losses but here’s the best of em. I also began just emailing my bad beats to their support team so I could prove to them it was rigged…clearly nothing would happen but allowed me to laugh and vent, should have just stopped to be honest…

    Preflop Raise 4x blind (am dealer)
    One caller

    Flop
    KK8 (flopped the boat)
    Check to see if he’ll bet he checks

    Turn Ace comes up
    I bet 1/4 pot to signal maybe the 8 or a limp bluff and hope he has the A…he raises.

    I raise over top close to all in he goes all in.

    River – Ace

    He shows Ace 10

    So…

    I flop a full house, this guy hits runner runner aces to beat mine…lol

    and these sites are legit? oh and this is after about 27 of the other bad beats so its not like it was an aberation.

    I play tight, usually about 15% of my hands and typically very strong hands, and seldom call raises unless I have a very strong hand/position.

  7. my suspision is if u deposit more cash the better chance you have of winning. this means there is more money in the sites account and you will more likely play on higher stake tables so in turn the site(s) will get higher rakes. recenty i was in a 2c/4c ring game on pkr and lost 3 hands in a row, 1st hand i had QQ and lost to 2 pair jacks and nines, now am ok with that, 2nd hand i get KK so i raise high pre flop, in the end i lose to a punk with A7 off suit, 3rd hand i gave hope and donked with K8 off suit, 1 guy called with pocket 10s, flop was K-K-4, my reaction was YES!! then on the turn a goddam 10 appeared. and so i lost. i do read alot about stragies and ways of playing, but i’m starting to feel its all a waste of time and money. the cards are too unreal and never seem to be random. online poker sites are ruining the game. play live cards if you can, its a lot more enjoyable!!

  8. last day happen a strange thing .. i decided to play only for fun at pokerstars 100/200 playmoney table …

    after a while a guy get empty and at his place come a baby with silver star rank wich started to win each hand after comming i get curious and requested – find player- and put his nick to see iff she play at other tables too .. NOW COME THE BIG SURPRIZE – I WAS INFORMED THAT PARTICULARY PLAYER WAS NOT FOUND AT SERVER – AND SHE STILL CONTINUED PLAYING AT MY TABLE … AFTER 2/3 MORE HANDS AFTER SHE SUDDENLY DISSAPEARS ……..

  9. i find out a deep secret Pokerstars use bots at allmoust every tournament table even at major ones !!! wich get only good cards and empty the tables fast i see at a bigger trny a funny thing 3 players remain at final table ……. 1 player was empty bye the bot and after that i was curious who will win between those 2 (the bot + the real player) lol for my big surprize after remain those 2 the table closed and get both winners !!!! this is simple stupid !!i find out 12 bots !!! and this without searching too much !!! those bots played like other players but when requested his nick those cannot be founded on server !!!

  10. Well, I’ve been playing at Party Poker for a good 5 years now. deposited into the account and played at least 50 times. Usually play 50cents/$1 tables limit hold em. The first 5 times I deposited into the account made some money, not much ($25-$50), and cashed out. I really play when I’m bored and have spare time. Playing these stakes at 50c/$1, if I play a couple of hours, sometimes I could make $50 on a good run.
    The last 45 times or so, not once I can remember ever making $50. Once I reached $100 at one sitting only to lose it all with crappy hands and bad beats.
    I can recall one hand where I had a pair of 4’s and the flop came 4 4 K. I raised and was re-raised 3 times and was called by only 1 player.
    Obviously, I had 4 of a kind. He had a pair of 7’s, the turn came a 7 and again raised and re-re-raised 3 times. I’m still ahead with 4 of a kind. The river comes a 7 making my opponent get four of a kind of 7’s. So obviously he beats my four of a kind. This type of so-called poker happens all the time.
    What I find on the tables are like ringers re-raising you with absolutely nothing and you having a strong hand and then they beat you on runner runner. I mean real pros muck their terrible hands or muck their hands on a bluff gone wrong.
    Always people raising with bad cards and winning. Online poker is fixed without doubt.

  11. Rush, You nailed it by saying you win when you first register at a poker site, then nothing. I’ve done it at every poker site I’ve been on. And on every site the hands are the same: ridiculous/miraculous/impossible wins for somebody.

    But seeing as the play IS the same on all sites it no longer matters if they’re all rigged or players like myself just have REALLY bad luck. The answer is the same: play only in freerolls, or for pennies. Never put big bucks into online poker.

  12. I HAVE READ MANY OF THE EMAILS POSTED AND WILL ABSOLUTELY AGREE WITH NEARLY ALL, I HAVE PLAYED AT MANY ON LINE POKER SITES AND EACH AND EVERY ONE I BELIEVE IS FIXED. THE FIRST YEAR I PLAYED ON LINE I WON A LOT OF MONEY JUST PLAYING IN SMALL GAMES BUT THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS I CAN NO LONGER WIN EVEN THOUGH I CONSIDER MYSELF AN EXCELLENT PLAYER, IT IS A CRYING SHAME THAT THESE SITES STEAL FROM ALL THEIR CUSTOMERS BUT THEN I GUESS ITS OUR OWN FAULT BECAUSE WE KEEP PLAYING BUT ANYWAY EACH AND EVERY TIME I GET A BAD BEAT, WHICH IS OFTEN, I USE THE COMMENT SECTION TO BAD MOUTH THE POKER SITE HOPEFULLY EVERY ONE WILL DO THE SAME. I KEEP PLAYING BECAUSE I AM IN MY 70’S AND HAVE LITTLE ELSE TO DO BUT I OFTEN FIND MYSELF HOPING THE U.S. GOVERMENT WILL SOMEHOW SHUT ALL THESE CORRUPTED P0KER SITES DOWN.

  13. 3 days ago i was try a bigger playmoney trny at pokerstars 109+rebuy one ….short after the blinds rised at 60/120 come 2 players started to rise 2 and half or more the blinds with crapp cards and win after get the needed cards at turn or river …. i get suspicious and check them (find player) for my surprize no one was found at server… !!!but continued to play at table . i was check other tables to in this particulary trny and for my biggest surprize at each table was one or even two bots !! or virtualy players …. and 2 or 3 off them get at payd places at the end !! one particulary even at last 3 !!! so this may be the reason why pokerstars can sponsor million $ online and live one trnys ……. i think they get 20-30 % in this way fom the total cash prise at each trny hosted !! – with the bots sent to play on real money trnys tables alot off cash wich normaly should be shared between real players and iff u keep in mind that are hundred off trnys each day dont need too much brain to figure out that pokerstars get this was millions/day !!! so i finished to play there and this will be a rule with any of poker sites on the net !!!

Done…after 6 years…to much “coincidence”/”bad beats”..started with $500 and continued to build up to about 7K..very meticulous about my play….once I won a couple of decent scores…$3000/pokerstars $3rebuy…$2700/pokerstars $5rebuy…etc..my playing style never changed…all of a sudden i can’t even cash in a $10/sng…roll comes down to $800…like i said, very experienced and meticulous, my play never changed and analysed constantly…last straw. sitting 3rd in $5rebuy at pokerstars…start with 4000 people (1st place approx. 10K), down to 80 players…I’m dealt AA and lost to A10off…2 hands later…dealt AA…trip A’s on flop..lose to 4 flush….1 hand later..dealt AA (unbelievable and completely fishy at this point)…all in against asininek6 off call..flop is A98 (trips again!), turn 7..river is 10….lose to ridiculous str8…so pissed off I develop a spreadsheet and keep track of all AA and KK dealt to me….after one month I have AA 59 times….53 are heads up….I won 4 times……..(wtf)..how is this even possible…email support…they sent standard letter stating AA should win approx 89% of the time…..asked that support look into this (KK was slightly better at 11% win rate)…support decline and asked that I not circulate my hands/spreadsheet as they will “not” provide collaborating hands I have played and thus I will not be able to support my claim…..hmmm..imagine that…unbelievable response…frustration level getting too high and in danger zone health wise..I don’t know what the criteria is or the reasoning behind this or who benefits…but sure as !@#$ not fun…so far from realistic poker….please no comments about seeing more hands while online….the percentages take this into account…..good luck all..have fun if possible…unfortunately I am huge fan of game but cannot be involved in this travesty of bullshit anymore………and cannot find a solution or a site that will guarantee proper play…..

    • Whether rigged or just unbelievable bad luck, all online poker sites play exactly the same. Best thing to do is play the freerolls or use pocket change for fun. Luckily it only cost me a few hundred over a year to figure this out.

  15. Everybody gets bad beats every now and then, that can’t be helped. But over the long term the statistics don’t lie. We are all in the same boat, reasonably good poker players just frustrated to tears with too many deposits and not nearly enough withdrawls.

    How to prove to yourself that online poker is rigged; Check out sharkscope.com for your and others tourno stats. Over 90% of online players are losers. They all win big on sign-up and lose big once they get settled in.
    Do the following experiment, play for an hour on cash tables. You will either be broke or barely even if your good. Then on the same site, play for an hour on the play money tables. After an hour you will be up 100+ fold, guarenteed. OK, people play a hell of a lot looser on the play tables, but the bad beats disappear. Why? Because play money players are only dipping their toe in the water and need see how easy is it to make ‘real’ money, and out comes the credit card.

    We all need to wake up, its a total scam.

OK now i will releave the black side off pokerstars …… they use poker boots at every table or allmoust – real money and even at playmoney ones ….. they use a trick .. at the main lobby page under ” Options” tab is a feature – hide from search …. wich is a perfect camuflage iff u ask about undetectable players ” and i let for the FINALE THE BIGG REVELATION – I WAS WATCH A POKERSTAR PLAYER GAME AT A REAL MONEY TRNY …. AFTER HE ADVANCED AT FINAL TABLE WAS EMPTY BYE A ” UNDETEDTABLE PLAYER ( BOT ??) .I REMAIN AT TABLE TO SEE WHAT’S HAPPEN FURTHER ……. WELL AFTER SOME ROUNDS REMAIN 3 PLAYERS………. 2 NORMAL ONES + THE UNDEETECTABLE ONE …. SOON ONE OFF THE NORMAL PLAYERS GET EMPTY TOO BY THE ” UNDETECTABLE PLAYER ” AND REMAIN 2 PLAYERS A NORMAL PLAYER + THE UNDETECTABLE ONE ….. I WAS VERY CURIOUS WHO WILL WIN …. AT MY HUGE SURPRISE AFTER REMAIN THOSE 2 NO MORE HANDS WAS DEALT – TABLE CLOSED AND AT TRNY STATISTICS BOTH GET WINNERS AT 1ST PLACE !!!!! I have read some very intriging things lately on here.Now I have been playing consistently for 5 years now and as of late have become overly suspicious of the integrity of these sites (pokerstars particularly).I couldnt agree more with the comments about winning initially then dumping your money into some offshore “legal” crime syndicate.But,I believe that when you have a decent payday and cash out you are instantly taken away from the winning ways.Almost as if they flip that invisible switch.You are no longer an asset to these companies when you win and cash out.the wealth will be spread out until they can find the guy that doesnt cash out but consistently plays.Im not sos sure about bots.I do think they are all legitimate players.In any event I live in New Orleans and walk to Harrahs 4 days a week.I have turned a %225 ROI there (not to mention won my seat for the $500 WSOP main event qualifier!!!YESS!!)So going strictly off that I can asure you im a pretty consistenly good player with years and years of experience.I play the same way online with a -180% ROI..Something fishy there?Id say so.These people are corrupt and should locked away abroad in an infirmary while they have there toe nails pulled out with tweezers 1 by 1.Then when they grow back repeat the process and so on….Good luck folks.I wish you the best of luck.

  18. i agree with Clayc…..but very strange things happen at pokerstars …… i witness 2 trny winners for 1st place even without play eachother ……… when those 2 remain both was declared winners and split the 1st place pot !! -was not satelite trny so normal trnys cannot have two fisrt place winners !!! also i opserved that this ” undetectable players are present at allmoust every table at a trny !!! and usualy 4/5 off them get in payd places !!!!i think are bots from pokerstars staff wich bring alot off peoples money at pokerstars owners bank !!!

  20. u guys are crazy u believe poker is rigged but probably dont believe the us government was involved in 9.11 Poker is not rigged the way you think. in some way it is a scam but they wont change cards they dont need to in poker you are not playing against the bank they get the rakes and make their money why should they risk their investment with dubios changes that wont give them money directly…also its not like cd poker makes their own software and can change stuff how they want to and if they really have some backdoor to change cards then they are open for hackers 🙂 also there are Gambling Laws at least where i live .. dont know how its internationaly
