After all of the hype I had heard/read about Star Wars Battlefront, I’m very disappointed. The game is pretty weak IMHO. All you do is run around shooting the enemy and try not to shoot the dumbasses on your team who keep running in your line of fire. And then you do it again. And again. What kind of a Star Wars game doesn’t let you use THE FORCE or a lightsaber?
During each battle you have the choice of 4 or 5 different characters to fight with. This may be the coolest part of the game because each character has their own weapons. One other cool part is the ability to jump in any vehicle. Other than that, the game is pretty boring! Save your money for Halo 2, which comes out 2 weeks from today.

It is just trying to emulate some of the great computer games out there. I think that any StarWars game has to be unique in its gameplay if it just clones another game with Starwars characters it sucks.

I don’t play too often, but I do kill an idle hour or two every month playing PS2. I only have a couple of games (Tiger Woods, Madden, GTA Vice City). I’m looking to add to the collection. Have you seen/read any reviews on the new 007 game coming out? Or is this Halo business the way to go?

When I bought my XBOX two years ago I bought it for the sole purpose of playing Halo. To this day, it’s still the greatest video game I’ve ever played. I think Halo 2 will break all records for sales of any type of video game ever created, indicated by the number of pre-orders that they’ve had. The game was delayed over a year from initial reports on when it would be released because they didn’t have enough time to put everything in the game that they had wanted. I’ve even thought about taking a few days off work to play when it comes out!
