Hey been reading your site ever since I saw the link from Wil’s site to the site that had the winners (and followed that to you).
Anyway, I’ve just been playing on FullTilt so far. No real money (yet). I’m getting pretty frustrated by the horribly loose play though and wondered if any of the other poker sites had better play on the “play money” games. I’d like to get a bit of confidence up before going ot real money, but the horrible play of some of the people makes it hard to learn much besides “some people are idiots” 🙂
Unfortunately I think the play money tables at any of the sites will be “horrible loose.” Think about it…these people think they know how to play the game because on TV they always see someone go all-in on almost every hand. What they don’t realize is that TV doesn’t show the hands where everyone folds around to the blinds or everyone folds to a small pre-flop raise. These things really do happen though. For the simple fact that people don’t have anything tied to the play money and they can get more chips with the click of a button, it really turns into a crapshoot. If you don’t feel comfortable, you can always start playing at some of the sites that have .01/.02 tables. These are still really loose, but somewhat better than the play tables. Hope that helps…
I figured that was the answer, but a tiny voice hoped otherwise… 🙂 My love/interest in poker is fighting my fear of throwing money away because I’m horrible and don’t know it yet 😉
