Still no news on the job. They were supposed to make their decision this week, so I should find out tomorrow. Things have been getting worse around the office with Doug being out for two weeks with a broken arm and now all of the network and Internet problems that are going on. Students, faculty, and staff are calling left and right with problems accessing the Internet and we don’t have any solutions. I don’t even like to say “we” in this case because we (Help Desk) are not in charge of the network and don’t have any control over it, so of course we don’t have any solutions. What we don’t have are answers, because they (Networking) don’t have the solutions. Understand? It is just very frustrating to have to tell people that things are not working and that the causes are unknown.
i would have to say that if you dont hear something by monday i would ask around and see what people have to say…you dont want to seem in their face or pushy….but you also dont want to let them think that you arent interested. i think they would be crazy to not hire you.
