Halo 2 Has Been A Hit

In less than a month, more than 5 millions copies of Halo 2 were sold. The game has also logged more hours of play on Xbox Live than any other game. That’s pretty amazing since there are numerous games that have been playable on Xbox live for 2 years and Halo 2 did it in […]

Crimson Skies: High Road To Revenge

Crimson Skies: High Road to RevengeWhen I first fired up Crimson Skies I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I had read several favorable reviews about the game though, so I was expecting it to be fun. After the first 5 or 10 minutes I thought, “This game sucks. I’m doing the same things over and over again.”

But after playing a little bit more, I was quickly addicted. The action is fast-paced and fun. Not only do you shoot from planes, but you shoot from AA guns on the ground and from in the sky too. Crimson Skies is all based around missions to make money or get information and each one is a little bit different. Over the course of the game you aquire new planes, each having their own strengths and weaknesses. One thing I didn’t understand was that my hanger of planes never filled all of the available spaces. Maybe I skipped a part of the game somehow.

Halo 2 Campaign Review

Last night I beat Halo 2’s single player campaign, so I think it’s time for a review. Note that I’m only reviewing the campaign and none of the online or multiplayer for now. That’ll come after I spend some more time on XBox Live.

I’ve read in countless reviews that the campaign was too short. I read that it took 10-12 hours when played at normal difficulty. I read that normal difficulty is easier than in the original Halo. I read that heroic and legendary are tougher than the original Halo and that legendary might be one of the toughest games out there.

Wet Your Halo 2 Appetite

With over 1.5 million copies on pre-order, Halo 2 promises to be AWESOME. Have I mentioned this enough in the past few weeks? Here’s some reading material to get you through the rest of the day. The reviews from IGN and Gamespot are both several pages long but full of information and only some of it is in both articles. You’ll want to read both.

Halo 2 screenshots and videos from Xbox.com

You will love Halo 2 multiplayer. It’s really that simple. And if you don’t, there’s almost certainly something very, very wrong with you.

IGN Halo 2 Beta Review

As previously suggested, easily the worst part about the story is the way it ends, insofar as it doesn’t. You’ll run into this game’s cliff-hanger ending like a compact car into a brick wall, and you’ll certainly be left aching for more.

Yes, the actual gameplay of Halo’s single-player campaign is a blast. But the campaign also winds up being the most disappointing part of the game–probably the only disappointing part.

GameSpot’s Halo 2 Review

Listen to one of the songs used in Halo 2.

If you don’t see any updates on the site over the next few days don’t be suprised. Less than one day left…

Major Leage Gaming

Did you know there is a Major Leage Gaming (MLG) circuit? Me either. Yesterday I saw a show on MTV about it. They were playing Halo and the winner, who won $8,000 for the day, said he has made over $80,000 for the year. Playing video games? Damn, where do I sign up for this […]

Star Wars Battlefront

Star Wars BattlefrontAfter all of the hype I had heard/read about Star Wars Battlefront, I’m very disappointed. The game is pretty weak IMHO. All you do is run around shooting the enemy and try not to shoot the dumbasses on your team who keep running in your line of fire. And then you do it again. And again. What kind of a Star Wars game doesn’t let you use THE FORCE or a lightsaber?

During each battle you have the choice of 4 or 5 different characters to fight with. This may be the coolest part of the game because each character has their own weapons. One other cool part is the ability to jump in any vehicle. Other than that, the game is pretty boring! Save your money for Halo 2, which comes out 2 weeks from today.
