I just pre-ordered a Microsoft Xbox 360 through a special Reward Zone offer with Best Buy. I went all the way getting the Full bundle which includes the hard drive, wireless controller, extra wireless controller, wireless charging system, Madden 06 game, Gotham Racing game. I wasn’t planning on spending so much, but you only live once right? The whole deal set me back $635, so it better be worth it!

Blogworthy
As you may have noticed, I haven’t been on a regular blogging schedule here on MtDewVirus. I didn’t feel all that great a few days this week and ended up taking 1.5 sick days. That doesn’t really have anything to do with my lack of blogging though. I’m not quite sure what it is. I keep asking my self what is and isn’t “blogworthy.”
I also think I’ve been going through a weird time in my life. To use a poker term…I feel “stuck” in more than one way. What exactly does that mean? Well, I don’t feel like I’m going anywhere right now. Sometimes I wonder if I’ll ever get out of here. I haven’t had the motivation to do much of anything lately. I’m just going through the motions of life at times. I ask myself what I want and I don’t have a concrete answer. I do know that I want something different than this, whatever this is. You’re probably as confused as I am now.
In other news, I’ve had some exciting things going on over at Poker Chip Tricks and the traffic has sky-rocketed since Christmas. I recently took 10 whole days off from poker. I didn’t play online at all during that time. I was struggling with my game and needed a break and to do some reading. I read two books and I’m glad to say that I found my game again.
I also haven’t been playing Xbox. I jumped on the other day and played Halo 2 for the first time in probably two weeks or more. I talked to my brother the other day and he was yelling at me, asking when I was going to play again. Let me tell you, 2 weeks away from playing Halo 2 online and I’m rusty! I was to the point where I was dominating other players at my skill level and when I played the other day I was struggling to stay in the middle of the pack.
That’s all for now…
Mech Assault 2: Lone Wolf
The original Mech Assault was the first game I played on Xbox Live and it was a great game. For the past few months I had been looking forward to the release of Mech Assault 2: Lone Wolf for a fresh Xbox Live experience. After playing a few games online, I’m very disappointed.
The single player campaign in Mech Assault 2 is challenging and fun, just like the first game. They’ve upped the intensity and added some new features that make it one of the top games released in 2004. The controls have changed, but are still extremely easy to use. There are new mechs, new maps, and new enemies to blow up. The maps/worlds are really well done with some great detail and design. With the addition of new mechs come the addition of a few new types of weapons that add more variety to the game.
Ghost Recon 2
What a great game! The single player campaign in Ghost Recon 2 is top-notch and the Tom Clancy series delivers yet again. You simply can’t go wrong buying a game with the Clancy name on it.
The graphics and audio are among the best I’ve come across on the Xbox. You can really feel the action in the heat of battle, especially if you have a nice sub woofer for your stereo system. Player movements, communication, and environment details are all very important in a game such as this. Ghost Recon 2 delivers in all areas.
Used PlayStation 2
Anyone looking for a used PS2 with a bunch of games and accessories? It’s my brother’s and is in great condition.
Don't Be A Stranger
The Strangerhood is the latest series from the crew at Rooster Teeth Productions, who are known for Red Vs Blue. The Strangerhood is along the same lines as Red Vs Blue, but uses the Sims 2 video game. Pretty funny stuff.
Halo 2 Trick Jumping
Halo 2 Trick Jumping has a lot of neat videos showing special jump techniques that can be used in Halo 2.
