7 Times

I just finished watching Lance Armstrong win his 7th Tour de France in a row. In my opinion, the TdF is the most difficult sporting competition in the world and Armstrong is the greatest athlete of our time. Winning this race seven times in a row was unthinkable. Lance did it after surviving cancer, which makes it even more remarkable. It is quite possibly the greatest sporting record of all-time.

Mighty Lions

Yesterday the Detroit Lions set the NFL record for consecutive road losses with their 24th in a row. I looked at the box score and they had a total of 106 yards on offense! These guys are supposed to be professions? The best in the world at playing football? I’ll continue to be a fan, but holy shit do they suck! I heard this joke on the radio this morning:

What do the Lions and an opposum have in common?

They both play dead at home and get killed on the road.

Kind of corny, but kind of funny too. At least we have the Red Wings to root for!

A Piece Of History

Yesterday, my dad, brother, and I were a part of basketball history. We attended the BasketBowl at Ford Field, where Michigan State lost to Kentucky 79-74, in front of 78,129 people; the largest crowd in basketball history (at any level of play).

I bought the tickets as Christmas gifts to them and we had a good time. It was really something special to be a part of…we can now say that we were part of a world record crowd! You can see all of the pictures I took here.
