Dad and I were in attendance at the greatest event I’ve ever been a part of. The Ryder Cup is the Super Bowl of golf, with the difference being the number of times it is held in the United States. The Ryder Cup Matches are held every two years. They are held in the United States every four years. During a golfer’s lifetime, the matches are held on home soil about 20 times. A few of those are during the years when we are too young to appreciate them or too old to attend. So figure about 12 to 14 chances of attending the event.
