Booked Sunday

An hour ago I didn’t have any plans set in stone for the weekend. Now my Sunday is booked solid. First, my Dad invited me up to play a golf course in Harrisville called Loggers Trace at 12:30. He has some type of connection and we are golfing for free. Can’t argue with that so I said “Yes” right away. As I looked at Google Maps to find out where it was, I noticed Hubbard Lake was only about 30 minutes away from Harrisville. The light bulb went off over my head and while chatting with Mo we decided to meet at 9am and bike around the 23 miles around the lake. After looking at the maps a little closer we probably could have pushed it back to 9:30 and I’d still have enough time to find the golf course, but I’d rather have more time than I need so that I can clean up a bit and find some food. I love packing a lot into a short little summer day trip like this. Keeps me active and busy.

Rate The Stuff

Mo launched Rate The Stuff earlier this week. It’ll be interesting to see how the Yahoo ads do on the new site because each page will be so specific to a product. Early on, the ads are very focused, so my guess is that it’ll be a hit. Will RTS be able to survive with so many other review sites out there from the big blog networks? Time will tell.

This is Mo’s 4th site, compared to my 3. I guess I better step it up!

Labor Day Weekend 2005

I had an enjoyable Labor Day weekend. On Friday night I went to The Dukes of Hazzard with my buddy Mo. Saturday morning I woke up early and drove down to Sterling Heights to hang out with a couple good friends, Lindsay and Jere. We went out golfing (shot a 44), watched the Michigan game, went out for burgers and beer, and then had a few at night. Nothing too exciting but once in awhile, those are the best times. Not much beats having a good time with your best friends.

Sunday afternoon I came back to Saginaw and just chilled around my apartment. Monday afternoon I went out golfing 18 (shot 46-48) with my brother and hit up the grocery store on the way home. I started to get a headache on the back 9 and as the night wore on it got worse. I was in bed by 10 for some much needed sleep. Today it’s back to work, but with no classes at SVSU it’s been a quiet day. I really like these long weekend.
