Flight Food

I don’t fly internationally very often, but whenever I do, I’m surprised by the food. I can’t remember the last disappointing meal I’ve had on a plane, if ever. It’s quite remarkable when you think about how they have to feed 100+ people at once and everything is packed in single serving size containers.

Fun fact: the first time I ever ate a salad was on a flight to Phoenix, Arizona in 2001 for college spring break with friends. Before then I was an extremely picky eater. Now I eat (or at least try) just about anything.

Remember when they served a meal on domestic US flights?

Langreyður (Fin Whale)

Grilluð langreyður, beikon-soðsósa, kartöflumús, beikon og kryddjurtasalat. Grilled fin whale, bacon demi-glace, mashed potatoes, bacon & herb salad. Our last night in Reykjavik, Iceland so I had to try something new. This was at Íslenski Barinn. I would definitely order it again!
