I finished season 5 of House of Cards and it did not disappoint. It was a little scary how much was similar to our current political situation though.
Still finished watching in under a week, but I’m pretty sure that’s the longest it’s taken me to watch any of the seasons. You could say I’m not a fan of the Tuesday release.
The last line of the season gave me chills again!
Last weekend I went to see iLuminate at Saginaw’s Temple Theatre with some friends. It’s not something I’d ever pay to see (we had free tickets), but it was something different to do and a neat performance. The act was on America’s Got Talent in 2011. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hgr3pvZtLUQ
Had a great time last night at the anual Brew Ha-Ha with our crew.
It pairs Michigan craft breweries with comedy shows.
Didn’t actually make it in to the theater for any of the comedy shows this year (too many beers to try, but witnessed these performances (not to be confused with CrossFit).
Fall brings the start of nasty weather to Michigan. Temperature drops, thunderstorms, and the scraping of windshields in the morning are some of the more unpleasant signs of fall we get to experience. This all means more time spent inside the house. It’s a good thing the TV stations start all of their new seasons at this same time.
My DVR is scheduled for many of the same shows it was back in February, but there are also a few new shows that have caught my eye. Here’s my week…
More like shitty as far as the Super Bowl went. I didn’t see the National Anthem, but I heard it from the other room and I swear my ears started to bleed. The refs continued their string of horrible calls in the 2006 playoffs by screwing Seattle out of a touchdown that anyone could see was not offensive pass interference. The game itself was rather boring I thought except for the WR to WR TD pass. The Rolling Stones have made some good music in their time, but there also comes a time when you have to hang ’em up. Watching 60+ year-old men dancing around on stage is not my idea of entertainment. It’s a miracle one of them didn’t break a hip.
We had a few people over to our new place and it was a good time. Little Caesar’s $3.33 medium pepperoni pizzas were the choice food and a few beers were killed to go along with it.
