Musical Baton

Yesterday I was passed a musical baton by Phu from If..Else. These types of memes are always fun and the keep blogging interesting. So here you have it…

Total volume of music files on my computer:

17.9 GB, which is over 3,500 songs. Pretty remarkable seeing as how I haven’t downloaded music in a year or more.

The last CD I bought was:

Films About Ghosts: The Best Of... [Bonus Track]Counting Crows – Films About Ghosts: The Best Of…

Song playing right now:

One Thing by Finger 11

Five songs I listen to a lot, or that mean a lot to me:

  1. The River by Garth Brooks
  2. Walk of Life by Dire Straits
  3. Satellite by Dave Matthews Band
  4. A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton
  5. Be Like That by 3 Doors Down

Five people to whom I’m passing the baton:

  1. Mo
  2. Deke
  3. Craig
  4. Mathibus
  5. Mark

Spiked

Spike TV is quickly becoming my favorite television station. I’ve been watching a lot of TV over the last week and can’t get enough CSI. Spike usually has 2 episodes every night. I wish I had started watching this show a low earlier than just a few weeks ago.

Feeling Better

I’m feeling better today for the first time in nearly a week. It turns out I just have the common cold/flu. I also managed to get an eye infection somehow. I’m blessed with a low white blood cell count, so when I catch something it hits me a bit harder than everyone else. Last night I finally got some sleep which can be the #1 cure sometimes. It was only 4-5 hours, but that’s probably more than I’ve had since Wednesday combined.

I just weighed myself and I’m down to 175 pounds from 185. That’s my ideal weight, but I’d much rather have reached it through exercise and eating right, not lack of appetite and feeling like shit.

Trying to Recover

Originally I took Thursday, Friday, and Monday off because I have 230 hours of vacation saved up at work. Yes, you read that right, 230 hours or nearly 6 weeks. I had plans to do some things around my place and enjoy the warm weather Michigan finally was going to get. I was also coming up to Rogers City for the weekend (I’m here now) to golf with Dad and visit Mom for Mother’s Day.

I had only taken one vacation day (the day I bought my TrailBlazer) in the last 5or 6 months, so I was long over due and really looking forward to it. Wednesday at work I felt sore all over so I thought I might be coming down with something. I hadn’t slept well the night before, so I kind of brushed the thoughts aside thinking I might just be tired.
