I’m using Basecamp to get everything organized as far as to-do lists, ideas, reminders, and other information. I’m hoping it’ll help me get more productivity out of each day. No more post-it notes all over my desk at home or emailing myself reminder notes.

Annika Sorenstam won the tournament for her 5th time. She actually crushed the field by 8 shots, even after taking a double bogey on the last hole. It was Sorenstam’s eighth win of the year and wrapped up her eighth LPGA Tour player of the year award. Paula Creamer, the LPGA Rookie of the year, finished in 2nd place.

Bigger headline news came from Michelle Wie though and it was not good news. In her first event as a professional she was disqualified for signing an incorrect score card. According to officials she took an illegal drop which moved her closer to the hole. She’s young and will earn from her mistake. If something like this had to happen it’s better that it did now when Annika already had the tournament in the bag.

Take a step by step look at Michelle Wie’s swing on the Golf Digest site. It seems as thought they removed the page from the site. Wie writes that she concentrates on tempo while playing. Most weekend hackers swing too hard which causes many problems in the golf swing. Of course Michelle also averages about 280 yards with her drives so she hits it farther than most of us also.

On Friday afternoon I got free by paying off the auto loan on the SUV I bought in March. It’s a monumental day in my life because now I’m debt free. My student loans were paid off a few months ago and now my auto loan is done with. Writing a big check never felt better!

I’ve had quite a ride this year with my web sites and poker. I still can’t believe how fortunate I’ve been. If you would have told me at the beginning of the year that I’d be out of debt I would have bet the farm. I paid of my 4 year auto loan in just over 7 months.

Unfortunately, money isn’t he only thing and doesn’t guarantee happiness. Now that my only bills are a cell phone and living expenses I don’t have any more excuses. It’s time to get my ass moving on the larger goals of getting a new job and moving out to California.

The Losing Continues

I’ve run into a series run of losing. 2-5 outters are hitting like Barry Bonds on steroids. Just another example…

Down to 4 in a $10 SNG and I pick up big slick. I put in a raise to 3x the BB. The big blind goes all-in with A9 suited. I flop a K and he’s drawing dead. The only way he can beat me is with running nines…and of course they come. I’m out on the bubble. I was a 98.9% favorite to win that hand. Damn 1.1%…fucker gets me every time!

Bad Timing For Tiger?

Tiger’s latest golf tip is Pay attention to short putts. It’s a great tip, but I don’t like the timing of it’s release. With the way John Daly lost to Tiger Woods in last week’s American Express Championship, it just seems like a slap in the face.

I’m sure Woods has plenty of other golf tips to share with the world, so why not wait to share this one?
