Many do, and only print the *second* receipt if you do want it.
The few business that offer email receipts are so cool
My local grocery store, Thrifty Foods’, just switched to a double sided receipt. Very cool

A few Walmarts have started the double sided receipt.

Apple Store is good at this. They offer an emailed receipt first.

I love that and always get the email receipt at Apple stores. Feels weird walking out with a big purchase and no bag or receipt in hand.
