I think it’s a great thing to have a few players, general managers, and an owner be a part of the rules committee. They are the ones that would know what changes need to be made. No other professional league would be able to do this. I just can’t see players in other leagues being able to intelligently debate rule changes. The other leagues have too much pull from the opinions of the fans and sports talk people who think they know what’s right, and the players are too driven by money.
