Ghost Recon 2

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2What a great game! The single player campaign in Ghost Recon 2 is top-notch and the Tom Clancy series delivers yet again. You simply can’t go wrong buying a game with the Clancy name on it.

The graphics and audio are among the best I’ve come across on the Xbox. You can really feel the action in the heat of battle, especially if you have a nice sub woofer for your stereo system. Player movements, communication, and environment details are all very important in a game such as this. Ghost Recon 2 delivers in all areas.

While playing the campaign on normal difficulty, it’s anything but normal. There were countless parts of each mission that I had to play several times before moving on. I can’t imagine the challenge on a higher difficulty. A change from the original Ghost Recon is that you can no longer switch between the members of your squad. You’ll always be playing through the game as Scott Mitchell and if you die, be prepared to start a mission over or revert to your save point. It actually took me several missions before I realized I could save my progress at any point. Once you get into the habit of saving, you’ll save a lot of time. If only the game would save automatically every couple of minutes or at certain points, like most of the other games do. This might be my only complaint about the game.

I haven’t had the chance to get my feet with with the online play on Xbox Live, but from what I had read previously, it’s the reason to buy the game. Definitely worthy of an A+ in my book.
