I sat down at a Hold’em table on Party Poker for the first time today. First thing I noticed was that their lowest limit table is $.50/$1 with .25/.50 blinds. I was a bit suprised they didn’t have any micro limit tables. But what the hell, I deposited the money and have bonus money waiting to be earned, might as well try it out. I played tight agressive poker for about an hour and 15 minutes. Up $17.00 for the session. Not bad!
I also played a $5/$1 SnG on the side, coming in 5th when I raised 400 of my remaining 660 in chips pre-flop with
My impressions of Party Poker so far? I’m wondering why in the hell so many people play there. Really. UltimateBet has a much better lobby interface and a much better table interface. The tables at Party Poker slowed down my entire computer too, especially when playing two at once. I’d try to move my mouse from one table to the next and it was doggin’ the whole way.
From what I’ve heard though, Party Poker is supposed to be where all of the fish are, so I’ll keep at it. I just wish they had some lower limit tables so that I could build up a bankroll before hitting these $.50/$1 tables. On the other hand, with winning sessions like the one today, I’ll be just fine. I hope to see you at the tables. If you’re interested in playing there, make sure to use one of the links above and you’ll get a hefty $25 bonus on your first deposit. Can’t beat that!
