Ryder Cup 2004

Tomorrow and Thursday I’m off to watch practice rounds for the Ryder Cup at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity and I get to spend two days watching the top players from the United States and Europe.

I’ve been to the Buick Open, held in Grand Blanc, Michigan, several times, but I think watching practice rounds will give me an entirely new perspective on professional golf. I’m exited to see Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Davis Love III, and the rest of the golfers that will be competing for our country. I’m also looking forward to watching some of the guys on Team Europe. I’m guessing that during their practice rounds, the professionals move their balls to bad lies and practice putting from all different places on the greens to get a feel.

Since it’s a practice round, spectators are allowed to bring cameras, which will be sweet. You can count on seeing a new photo album posted before the weekend arrives.

GO TEAM USA!!

  1. Believe me, I’ve been practicing….at work, in the car, etc. I’m getting pretty decent with the butterfly and can open it up almost every time now. The breakdown of the trick that’s extremely difficult though.
