Lead Foot

While doing all of the driving over the weekend I realized that I drive a lot faster when I’m in the car by myself. When I have company and good conversation, I typically drive about 8 mph over the speed limit. If I’m on my own, I usually drive 10-15 mph over the speed limit. Why? I believe it’s because I have complete control over my driving when I’m not interacting with someone. I can focus on the road, the cars around me, speed limits, and watching for cops.

You might wonder if I’ve ever had any tickets…only one so far for going 10 over in a 55. I’ve been pulled over 4 times for speeding, but was given a warning 3 of those times. Everyone gets a few breaks here and there I guess. I like driving fast. That’s no secret. I just hate to be waiting around. Call it a lack of patience if you will. I get it from my Dad.
