Labor Day Weekend

I had an enjoyable weekend. On Friday Jere made the drive up to Rogers City with me. It took a little longer than normal because of all the traffic, but it wasn’t as bad as we expected. After relaxing a bit at Mom and Dad’s, it was out to the bars for a night with the boys. There weren’t many people out, but we had a good time. I finally made it home around 3 a.m.

On Saturday Dad and I went out golfing. I was putting for eagle or birdie on 7 out of 9 holes. I don’t think I’ve ever drove the ball as well as that day. I had a slight fade on almost everything and was playing from the fairway almost every hole. I’m usually a pretty good putter, but I couldn’t make a read or hit a 3-4 foot putt. I only ended up parring 3 of those holes and didn’t get a single birdie. Also shot an 8 and a 10 on the other two holes, to end up with a 50. Pretty disappointing for how many chances I had.

When we got home, there were about 50 people waiting in the garage because we threw Dad a surprise 50th birthday party. His birthday was almost a month ago, so he had no clue. Everything turned out perfect and I think everyone had a great time.

Jere and I drove back on Sunday afternoon and then I ended up going down to Sterling Heights for a visit with him, Lindsay, and Denise. We had a lot of fun. Now I’m back home relaxing while watching Tiger and Vijay battle it out. Go Tiger!
